Blaine sits right on the Canadian border, with a working harbor, water views across Drayton Harbor and Semiahmoo Bay, and a small-town downtown along Peace Portal Drive. It’s a natural fit for cross-border commuters, retirees and anyone who wants the water close by without the bustle of a bigger city.
Living in Blaine
Life here centers on the waterfront. Marine Park and the Blaine Harbor boardwalk are favorite spots for an evening walk, and in summer the historic Plover foot ferry carries passengers across to Semiahmoo Spit. Peace Arch Historical State Park, right at the border crossing, has wide lawns and gardens that feel like a shared front yard for both countries.

Homes and neighborhoods
You’ll find older character homes near downtown, view homes on the hillsides above the harbor, and newer subdivisions on the east side of town. Many buyers are drawn by the mix of water views and a quieter pace at a range of price points.
Getting around
